Acupuncture for Foreign Tourists in Japan

Have you considered trying acupuncture in Japan? It may be one of your most memorable experiences!

¥12,000/about 90min(including consultation, and a cup of tea after treatment)

Acupuncture is a safe, natural and effective way to promote your body’s self-healing abilities. It is a method of treatment which involves the placement of very fine needles through the skin in a number of specifically chosen locations. It originated in China around 2000 years ago but has since been adopted into Western Medicine to help alleviate pain and to stimulate the nervous- and immune systems. It is well known that acupuncture in Japan is generally soft and tender, compared to acupuncture as practiced in China.

You need not be concerned about the pain. We use special ‘needles’ that are actually sticks, which we don’t insert through the skin, so we guarantee that you wouldn’t feel any pain at all. We also use Moxibustion and Cupping, as per each patient’s personal preferences. Moxibustion is a technique that involves the burning of mugwort (moxa, Artemisia argyi), a small, spongy herb, to facilitate healing over specific acupuncture points.
